A Night of Legacy and Light: Mount Founders Circle Gathering
The inaugural Mount Founders Circle event was a powerful and inspiring evening on Mary’s Mountain, bringing together members of our community to honor the Mount’s enduring mission and the generous support that propels it forward. Held in the spirit of gratitude and reflection, the evening explored the deep connections between the Mount’s founding figures—Father Dubois, Mother Seton, and Father Bruté—and the beautiful synchrony of the university, seminary and National Shrine Grotto. A special video presentation offered a moving tribute to these roots, setting the tone for an evening grounded in history, hope, and shared purpose. Mount Students Honor Tradition Through Founders Day of Service
As part of the inaugural Founders Week celebration, the Mount community came together on Saturday, September 27, for a day of service that reflected the university’s Catholic mission. Volunteers planted trees at the National Shrine of Elizabeth Ann Seton in the morning and later participated in a chapel and grounds cleanup at the National Shrine Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes. The service day was one of several events held during Founders Week, which paid tribute to three key figures in the Mount’s history: Father John Dubois, Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton and Father Simon Bruté. The week of activities was designed to deepen understanding of the Mount’s spiritual and historical foundations and to inspire renewed commitment to the values of faith, service and academic excellence.
