National Alumni Association Bruté Nomination

The Simon Bruté Award is presented by the Mount St. Mary’s National Alumni Association to a graduate who has rendered outstanding and meritorious service to the Church, state, nation and our fellow citizens. The medal is presented at the traditional Alumni Reunion Banquet.

It is the highest honor awarded by the Association to a Mountaineer.

Nominations will only be accepted through this form and will be considered for 5 years. Please provide, to the best of your ability, the following information to nominate an alumna/us. Before you submit a nomination, please refer to this page on our website to confirm that you are not submitting someone who has already received the award.

The Simon Brute Medal shall be presented as recognition of the highest honors conferred by the National Alumni Association of the University upon an alumnus/a who has distinguished themselves through:

Their career in business, the arts, the professions, government, or education
Their service and/or philanthropy to Mount St. Mary's University, the Mount St. Mary's University Alumni Association, or a constituent alumni association
Their service to their community and/or service to others
And who has upheld the guiding principles of the University
