Class of 2021 Commencement

The Class of 2021 commencement celebrations included thorough planning that considers each graduate and the COVID-19 Guidelines developed by the University in compliance with state, and local directives and recommendations. Masks will be required and physical distancing guidelines will be observed at all events.

•   Saturday, May 15, 2021, at 10 a.m.
•   Saturday, May 15, 2021, at 4 p.m.
•   Sunday, May 16, 2021, at 10 a.m.
•   Sunday, May 16, 2021, at 4 p.m.

Registration

Registration is required to attend the commencement ceremonies. Each graduating student can register up to four (4) guests. Tickets are uniquely assigned and are non-transferable.

Tickets

Tickets will be available for pick-up or home delivery. You can indicate your preference on the registration form.
Graduates must complete the Senior Survey to receive tickets, which will be sent separately.

Location

In order to accommodate social distancing requirements, Commencement will take place at Waldron Family Stadium, inclement weather location is the Knott Arena.

Academic Regalia

Academic Regalia is required to walk in commencement. Caps and gowns are sold exclusively through Herff Jones, a partner of the Barnes & Noble Bookstore. Your purchase will be shipped directly to you. Order by April 15 at herff.ly/msm to be sure you receive it by graduation.

Commencement Modifications

The University will continue to monitor the public health situation and state guidelines in the weeks ahead. Should circumstances change significantly, the University may need to adjust the schedule.
